When you write a blog post, do you know if your post is indexed with Google? If the Google robots that crawl your website do not consider your content valuable, it will not index your web page. Use the Google search console URL inspection to see if indexed or not.
Google Search Console
Google search console is a helpful tool for website developers. If you are a blogger, you know how much work it is to put up a post. You want to make sure your hard work is paying off by being searchable on Google. First, you need to go to the Google search console and give them access to your domain. There are a few ways to do this.
Insert Headers and Footers Plugin
I used a plug in called Insert Headers and Footers on my WordPress website. Next, insert the code Google provides to add to your website so they can access it.
Once you access the Google search console, use the URL inspection feature to see if your URL is indexed on Google.
Simply paste the URL of whatever you would like checked and it will let you know if it is indexed or not in Google.
If your URL is on Google, you will see the result URL is on Google with a green check mark. This means this URL meets all of Googles criteria and is searchable on Google.
If you see the result URL is not on Google, that means the URL is not indexed on Google. Don’t worry, there are ways to improve your content so you will have your URL indexed. Some issues could be your content is “thin”, which means Google feels like you need to add more content.
